Crafting
Crafting is a good way to get specific equipment that you will need for your units. It is relatively expensive, but is highly convenient. There are buildings required in order to craft, and it allows you to craft 8 unique equipment. However there is a cap on the number of these buildings you can have: 1. So you will need to choose wisely the one you need. Furthermore, one building one crafts to slots, like Health Armour solutions can only craft Body Armour and Battle Juices. All can craft battle juice, so it is the type of equipment you want is key.
